“From an early age, I was captivated by movie soundtracks, drawn to their musicality and inspired to pursue a similar path. Based in London, my musical journey began with the influence of MTV music videos. Though I never formally studied music, my artistic background and passion for poetry gradually evolved into songwriting. My musical influences are diverse, spanning Soul, R&B, Motown, Indie, Folk, Pop, and Alternative Contemporary genres. Artists like Solange, Frank Ocean, Florence + The Machine, and Arctic Monkeys have profoundly inspired my creative process. As a massive comic book fan with a fascination for superheroes, I adopted the moniker “Fantastic Mr Marcel” to embody a sense of empowerment and aspiration.

Storytelling and cinematic elements are central to my songwriting approach. I envision myself as a character in a scene, using my words to paint vivid musical pictures. My music merges pop sensibilities with deeper, more intense elements, creating a unique blend of freedom, calm, and sexiness. It offers listeners a raw and real sound, characterized by dreamy textures, processed synth loops, and poetic lyricism.

This fusion can be best described as alternative contemporary pop. I strive to create music that is dark, poetic, yet light and deep, offering listeners a diverse musical experience. Translating my emotions into song is my primary motivation, as I believe in the unifying power of shared experiences. My goal is to craft music that heals, inspires, and encourages positive change, allowing listeners to feel good and connected. To me, music is therapy and healing, and I hope my sound resonates with and comforts others.” – FANTASTIC MR MARCel
