CGB PROJECT

CGB Project is a three-piece fusion group consisting of Joe Calderon (guitar), John Gibson (flute) and Bryan Brock (percussion). The project came together by fortuitous circumstances after the three met while playing in Los Angeles. The inspiration for the project was born from the men playing together but also, while playing with other random musicians whose line-up changed nightly.
One night it would be two guitarists, another night it would be guitar and flute or maybe, guitar and percussion. The music was totally unscripted and improvised and the vibe was super cool. Audiences LOVED it! After the gig, Joe lamented not having recorded the show “I wish we had recorded it”!
Soon after, an invitation went out to John and Bryan from Joe and the idea for Dialogue took form. The three musicians joined up at ATM Studios in North Hollywood, California. John and Bryan were each in their isolated booth. John recalls “we went into the studio with the only communication between being a microphone – no visual contact between us”. Joe stayed in the control room with the engineer. After getting proper levels and final mic placements, we were ready to record and the CGB Project was born.
The resulting CD, “Dialogue” is a studio session inspired collection of instrumental compositions that integrate many musical elements – primarily world and fusion. Dialogue is an exquisitely recorded gem reserved for the most discerning audiophile. If Prozac was music, this is what it would sound like.
Verdict is thrilled to welcome CGB Project to its artist roster and invites you to check out “Dialogue” on your favorite streaming platform. EXCITING MUSIC VIDEO FOR “DREAM” COMING SOON!
