Bebe Wood is a dynamic singer-songwriter whose non-conforming writing style transcends a singular musical genre, bringing a welcome fresh perspective in a voice that is unapologetically her own. Weaving beautiful melodies with cleverly crafted lyrics, the songs are both lyrically poignant and easy on the ears. At times introspective and reflective, at times light-hearted and whimsical, her tone intuitively shape-shifts to fit the mood of the song and deliver its’ message with persuasive sonic conviction.
Be it her ethereal sounding vocals on “Thieving Dreams” or her trippy delivery on the melancholic “21st Century Hippie” – an ode to all things Laurel Canyon – Bebe Wood brings novelty to an otherwise predictable music industry. In a sea of many, she truly stands out with an eclectic array of exceptionally produced tracks. Bebe Wood started writing songs when she was 15 years old, and didn’t necessarily start writing with the intention of creating an EP.
Her songs reflect a snapshot of a special moment in time, a memory or experience, and she learned how to write music as she was knee deep in the process. For inspiration, she would throw on her favorite Beatles record on vinyl and strongly connect to it, building her confidence as a songwriter. When not writing or performing music, Bebe can usually be found working in her other capacity, as a professional actor. In addition to her work as a musician, Bebe has been acting professionally since the early age of 11.
She starred in Hulu’s “Love, Victor,” the highly praised spinoff series inspired by the film “Love, Simon.” Most recently, she appeared in “Mean Girls” (2024), a teen musical comedy adaptation of the original 2004 film. Past TV projects include appearances on “Thirty Rock” and “Veep” with more prominent roles in “The New Normal” and “The Real O’Neals.”
